Considering the attention being given to the Fukushima Nuclear disaster I thought it would be useful to put up a layer showing all Nuclear Power Plants in the world. In the U.S. all plants are shown including those that have been decommissioned -- I tried to be as complete as possible here. In other countries only those plants with a capacity of at least 1000 MW's are shown. Still there are more Nuclear power plants that I knew about before building this layer.

TRI mobile is available on the Android Marketplace
This environmental app was put up on the Android Marketplace today, Feb 8, 2011.
TRI mobile is a native application for Android devices that provides a searchable layer of TRI facilities on Google Maps. The application uses an optimized, mobile database for the TRI layer which yields optimal performance and improves user experience.
The application provides an interface to search, display, list, and sort facilities. TRI mobile uses Android speech capability to improve the search experience. For any address, the map displays nearby facilities regulated under federal environmental laws. Facility reports provide summaries of chemical/pollutant releases and chemical health effects.
